THE BPG FOUNDATION

Leadership. Access. Opportunity.

The BPG Foundation supports Hawaii student-athletes by helping reduce financial barriers to leadership training, collegiate pathway assistance, travel, exposure, and post-secondary development opportunities.

Our mission is simple:

Help prepared student-athletes access meaningful opportunities that can move them forward.

This is not about funding participation for the sake of participation.

It is about expanding access for athletes who demonstrate commitment, need, readiness, and purpose.

WHY THE FOUNDATION EXISTS

Hawaii student-athletes face a unique challenge.

Talent, commitment, and readiness are not always enough when the next meaningful opportunity requires mainland travel, registration fees, lodging, meals, transportation, or access to higher-level evaluation environments.

A player may be ready for a college ID camp, showcase, tournament, residency experience, leadership program, or post-secondary pathway opportunity... but the total cost can put that opportunity out of reach.

The BPG Foundation was created to help close that gap.

The Foundation exists to support access.

It exists to support leadership growth.

It exists to support collegiate pathway opportunity.

It exists to help more Hawaii student-athletes take the next meaningful step.

WHO THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS

The BPG Foundation supports student-athletes pursuing leadership training, collegiate placement assistance, development opportunities, travel, exposure, and post-secondary pathway access.

Support may be available to student-athletes from any club, school, training environment, or community program, provided the opportunity aligns with the Foundation’s charitable and educational purpose.

The BPG Foundation is not limited to BPG athletes.

While approved BPG-related opportunities may be eligible for support, the Foundation’s mission is broader: to help reduce financial barriers for student-athletes pursuing meaningful leadership, collegiate, development, and pathway opportunities.

WHAT SUPPORT MAY COVER

Foundation support may be used toward approved student-athlete pathway expenses, including:

  • Flights and mainland travel
  • Lodging and room accommodations
  • Meals and basic travel needs
  • Ground transportation
  • College ID camp registration
  • Tournament travel expenses
  • Showcase or event registration
  • Residency-related travel or participation costs
  • Leadership training and educational programming
  • Other approved development, exposure, or collegiate pathway opportunities

Support is based on available funds, athlete need, opportunity fit, and Foundation review.

WAYS TO GIVE

Every contribution helps reduce barriers for Hawaii student-athletes pursuing meaningful opportunities.

Donors may support:

General Student-Athlete Opportunity Fund

General donations help The BPG Foundation allocate support where it is needed most.

Travel and Collegiate Pathway Support Fund

Travel and pathway support helps student-athletes reach mainland opportunities that may otherwise be financially difficult to access.

Student-Athlete Opportunity Campaigns

The Foundation may allow donors to contribute in support of an approved student-athlete opportunity campaign, subject to Foundation review, eligibility standards, available funding, and applicable nonprofit guidelines.

Business and Community Grants

Businesses, organizations, and community partners may provide larger gifts, grants, sponsorships, matching support, or in-kind support to help fund leadership programming, student-athlete travel, scholarships, and broader access initiatives.

APPLY FOR SUPPORT

Student-athletes and families may request support through a financial aid or grant application process.

Applications may ask for information about the athlete, the opportunity, estimated costs, financial need, and why the opportunity matters for the athlete’s leadership growth, development, collegiate placement pathway, or post-secondary goals.

Submitting an application does not guarantee support.

WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS

A single opportunity can change the direction of a student-athlete’s pathway.

It can put a player in front of the right coach.

It can expose an athlete to a higher standard.

It can provide leadership development.

It can give a family clarity.

It can help a player understand what the next level truly requires.

For Hawaii student-athletes, those opportunities often require education, guidance, support, and travel.

Your support helps reduce that barrier.
