THE BPG FOUNDATION
Helping Hawaii Student-Athletes Access Opportunity
The BPG Foundation was created to help reduce financial barriers for Hawaii student-athletes pursuing leadership development, soccer development, college pathway education, travel, and related educational opportunities.
The Foundation exists to support access.
Many serious athletes have the ability, commitment, and desire to pursue meaningful development opportunities, but the cost of training, travel, events, lodging, meals, transportation, and college exposure can create real barriers.
The BPG Foundation was created to help address those barriers.
CURRENT 501(c)(3) STATUS
The BPG Foundation has applied for recognition as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and is currently awaiting IRS determination.
While the application is pending, the Foundation cannot guarantee that contributions are tax-deductible.
If the IRS ultimately approves the Foundation’s application and recognizes exemption for the period when a contribution was made, that contribution may qualify as tax-deductible.
If the IRS does not approve the application, the contribution may not be tax-deductible.
Donors should consult their own tax, legal, or financial advisor before making any contribution.
WHY THE FOUNDATION EXISTS
Hawaii student-athletes face unique challenges.
Many mainland opportunities require airfare, lodging, meals, transportation, event fees, and time away from home. These costs can limit access for athletes who may benefit from additional development, leadership training, college pathway education, or exposure opportunities.
The BPG Foundation was created to help make those opportunities more accessible.
Support may help eligible student-athletes participate in approved development and educational experiences that support their growth as athletes, leaders, and future college students.
